Clinton forced to settle for second best

So the news it out and Clinton, as of Sat. June 7, conceded to Barack Obama.

It’s a shame to see her bow out so early in the contest. The convention isn’t until August Hillary, what’s the rush? The party is practically divided in two, Obama is still licking his wounds from the Reverend Wright controversy and she’s standing on a gold mine of mudslinging.

Tony Rezko just got convicted, which means now is the time for Predator Clinton to strike. But no, instead of taking after her husband and laughing in the face of imminent doom only to prevail against all odds, she runs and hides like a scared child in a thunderstorm.

“Chicken Clinton clucks away from nomination” is what the headlines should read. However, Obama has proved to be a formidable candidate. Why? Because he’s above negative campaigning, that’s why. Sure he’s taken his shots at Hillary, but it’s not been out of the context of actual politics. Unlike motherclucker he is noble and naïve, a true optimist in politics, or, in laymen’s terms, a sucker.

Comedy Corner Magazine does support Obama, but we wanted a Roman arena fight between the lion Clinton and gazelle Obama. But the lion turned into a pussycat and the underdog wins. The true American dream realized. A poor black man from South Side Chicago is the Democratic nominee for President of the United States.

He’s humble too. In his acceptance on June 3 he spoke highly of Predator Clinton.

“That is particularly true for the candidate who has traveled further on this journey than anyone else,” he said in St. Paul, Minn. “Senator Hillary Clinton has made history in this campaign not just because she's a woman who has done what no woman has done before, but because she's a leader who inspires millions of Americans with her strength, her courage, and her commitment to the causes that brought us here tonight.”

Camelot has a new king and it’s Obama. The Kennedy’s were an endangered political species, but with Obama their political spirit may never cease to exist. Sure, Teddy’s still around, but he’s also on his last leg of his campaign career.

With the exception of his public speaking skills, the nation is headed back to the age of hopeful American politics. And Clinton is forced to settle for second best.

His speech also alluded to her being a possible candidate for the vice presidential nomination. Some pundits disagree. The Wall Street Journal, for example, headlined Clinton unlikely to be the vice president on the ticket, but the language in Obama’s speech may state otherwise.

“And you can rest assured that when we finally win the battle for universal health care in this country, she will be central to that victory,” he said in St. Paul, Minn. “When we transform our energy policy and lift our children out of poverty, it will be because she worked to help make it happen. Our party and our country are better off because of her, and I am a better candidate for having had the honor to compete with Hillary Rodham Clinton.”

In the heat of battle she said Obama could be her vice president. It was like the “Dewey Defeats Truman” headline. But even with her open mouth and insert foot statements, Obama may offer her the same courtesy.

Predator Clinton could only be so lucky, but she may be too proud to accept.

After her relentless attacks on his character, he still spoke highly of her. Even after her arrogant statements, he still attributes future political policy wins to Predator Clinton. According to the language of his speech, he’s willing to let bygones be bygones, and give her a chance to be back at home in the White House.

But she is the Clinton who bites her nose off to spite her face. While she’s forced to settle for second best as a presidential nominee, she may not settle for second best on a winning political ticket.
